Aren't there issues with compiling it in 13.04 as well?  I seem to remember
Ubuntu deciding to not upgrade to Gnome 2.8 or something like that.  Does
anyone have information that will clarify this issue?

Thanks for the update.
As it is I was thinking of a good reason that would compel me to switch to
latest Vinux version or 13.04 Ubuntu.
This seems to be a good reason because I guess Orca's latest version will
not be compilable on Ubuntu 12.04 by default.
