[orca-list] empathy issues

Hello,
For some reason, Empathy doesn't read the contacts list.
Orca simply says "panel", and pressing up and down arrows gives me no 
information at all on what contact is selected or their status, but 
pressing enter appears to open chat windows.
This makes Empathy difficult to use on Ubuntu Raring. This bug also 
seemed to exist in Quantal as well. Do you know of a workaround?
