Re: [orca-list] Twitter?

Sounds like it could use a bit of work. I think I'll keep using what I'm
using.

Yeah, you're right, it's the chat feature in Thunderbird. I've only
experimented with it. It doesn't seem like a fully functional Twitter
client. It's also kind of clunky to use, with a lot of control+tabs and F6's
to get around and perform your most basic Twitter activities.
Everything does seem doable though, and if you don't mind the chatter, you
do get new tweets spoken to you with the live regions monitoring in Orca.

Do you mean chat? I've used that feature in windows. How well does
it work with Orca in Gnome?

Thunderbird also now includes a messaging interface which includes
Twitter.

Smuxi has a Twitter interface to it too. I think Pidgin does too.
Or, you can visit

And just use the mobile interface. I've had success with that in the
past with Linux althought it did act up on me once or twice.

I think there is aomething called corebird as a gui twitter client?
Check your distro's repos. For Arch, it's in the AUR. I use ttytter
and the web front end called easychirp.org.
