[orca-list] Advance live region politeness setting.

Hi all.
In orca's preferences, specifically for firefox, I've the following:
Advance live region politeness setting. backslash

However seems that the \ key causes no effect in my machine, even in the 
learn mode.

If I am in FF and press capslock+h and then I press the \ key, only the 
name of the key is announced.
Am I doing something wrong?
