Once upon a time in the land of e-mail, hadi spoke these words:
# Kyle, do i need to get the knoppix distro itself? or knoppix+adriane
is itself another distro.
# Because googling knoppix adriane confuses me a little, it seems like
that it differs from the knoppix itself.
Once upon a time, there was Knoppix and a separate image that was
Knoppix+Adriane. Now they are on a single image, and entering
adriane
at the boot prompt will start the Adriane audio desktop system. The one
caveat I read about is that although Knoppix is a dual architecture
image that Knoppix users without Adriane can start in either 32-bit or
64-bit mode, Adriane always runs in a 32-bit environment, so newer
machines may run slower than normal and/or only have 4GB ram available,
depending on the kernel that is being used.
