I think it's possible to run x.org with no monitor. You could test it.
Sadly, I am unable to test since the monitor is the lid of my machine
and I can't just disconnect it.

Hi is it possible to use a linux distro like ubuntu without a screen
hooked up? if not is there any way to bypass screen checks at bootup
so an accessible distro like sonar or vinux or ubuntu 13.0 will run
without a screen connected?
