Festival actually has some quite good voices available, and it works
with speech-dispatcher. Additionally, as new voices are installed in
Festival, they automatically appear in Orca's speech preferences, which
sadly still isn't working with eSpeak. Festival is the easiest
alternative synthesizer to install, because most distributions still
include packages for it. Just don't use the default voice that usually
ships with it and you'll be fine <smile>.
