I think dropbox uses a lot of Ajax. You would probably have the same exact
trouble with www.facebook.com, gmail.google.com (the nonbasic html version)
and any other site that uses asynchronous javascript and xml a.k.a. AJAX.

And Chrome VOx probably works best for web stuff.

I've run into this quite often especially with Firefox with Orca but I
have also experienced this with Firefox and Window-Eyes too. I have
an idea that Firefox may be to blaim here by not exposing all
clickable elements and other "fake links". Another site where I have
a lot of trouble with this is on www.dropbox.com.
I've gotten to rely more on my mac for a lot of web stuff. Safari with
VoiceOver works better in these areas.

Hi all,
It seems that I am constantly running across controls on web pages
that require mouse clicks to activate them (ie, pressing space or
enter to activate them doesn't cut it), and, when I enter flat
review to try to cut them, the flat review cursor is moved to the
file menu, rather than the control where Orca thinks that the caret
is positioned. My guess is that the control that I have selected
isn't actually on the screen, but I could be wrong. I can't figure
out how to scroll it onto the screen or otherwise be able to select
it. Does anyone have any advice?
not really, I've seen stuff like that, but never had time to debug
what's going wrong.

I've figured out how to get around that.
What I do is press the right arrow to get into the area of text on the
link i want, and then press numpad slash to left click the item.
