[orca-list] Problems with accented chars in gnome-terminal

Hi all.
Using orca 3.8 and gnome-terminal 3.6.1, I noticed that accented 
characters are not echoed when I type.
Even the dead key used to accent a char is not spoken.
Yes, the non-spacing _diacritical keys option is checked.

The same behavior when I tested in my VM machine with gnome 3.8.
