Hi Kile,
thank you very much for your help, after log out and then log in with classic gnome no effect setting chosen, my 12.10 looks like old gnome 2.32 and is mostly accessible.

At this point, your best bet is to install 12.04. However, you can get Ubuntu 12.10 running using GNOME by installing gnome-session-fallback. I haven't played with 12.10 to know if it's still talking at login with control-s, but iff so, you can choose a regular GNOME session instead of the default Unity. This will give you all the accessibility of GNOME 3.6. Hope this helps.
