Hi,

Agreed. What I do is go into the keyboard settings and asign shortcuts 
for the various workspaces. Say alt+control+1 through alt+control+9. 
That way I can jump between workspaces without the switcher and as long 
as I know what is in what workspace I can get around pretty quickly.
