Pure guessing because I've not dug much into AT-SPI2, but it seems
reasonable to me that the act of quitting Orca triggers AT-SPI2 to
dump its cache. After all, if no AT is listening for events and
wanting accessible objects, AT-SPI2 has no need to keep them around.
But it may be something entirely different.
