I use latex-beamer for many top level presentations.
But pdf accessibility of Orca is not present right now so it becomes kind of a barrier.

That's a very good idea. An accessible PDF viewer would make it much easier,
though. What you really want is to display the presentation under X with a PDF
viewer, with sufficient access that you can read the titles of the slides
(and, if necessary, their contents) as you proceed.
