Hello all,
The gedit problem is caused by a file located in /etc/sudoers.d. The
file is called a11y-sudo. You need to move this file to gain root access
with gedit. To do this, type:
sudo mv /etc/sudoers.d/a11y-sudo /etc/sudoers.d/a11y-sudo.bak
You will then be able to run gedit as root.
