[orca-list] Running Orca as Root in Open Suse 12?

Hi,

A friend has installed Open Suse, using orca, from the live cd, and is 
unable to get accessibility when running YaST to configure the system. 
Word from orca is "superuser inaccessible".  When looking for 
information, I came across the old sysadmin page from the orca wiki, 
dated sometime in 2009 or 2010.  Link below:

How much of this applies to gnome 3.x, if any?  If none, where can 
updated information be found?
