Re: [orca-list] Using Ubuntu all the way now

Hi Andy,

The best way I found to run Windows and Ubuntu together is to install
Ubuntu Linux into a Windows swap file. From Windows just insert the
Ubuntu cd, answer the questions, tell it to install inside Windows and
let it go. That saves you the risk of losing your Windows OS, no
fooling around with resizing partition tables, no messing around with
virtual machines, etc. It just creates a Windows swap file and puts
all the Linux files in there. When you want to run Linux reboot and
select Ubuntu from the grub boot menu. Its as simple as that to run
Windows and Ubuntu together.

I went to install Ubuntu next to Windows 7 on my laptop last night. Good
thing I didn't have anything important on the Windows section... Now, it
is 755GB of pure Ubuntu. I will have to get Windows back somehow, but I
am trying to determine if I want to just put it in a VM instead. Any ideas?
