Re: [orca-list] Orca 3.2.0 and Archlinux

I had GDM and orca working fine with gnome 3.0, however it is the upgrade to gnome 3.2 which breaks it for me.

I tried getting my gdm to work on arch under 3.0 with little success. I'm not sure why, we got the gdm screen to talk, but when i'd log in as my user, orca/pulse etc would then die and not come up talking. I don't know why this is, but i end up having to use startx to launch gnome. I suspect that this is more a gnome problem then an arch problem, but i honestly dont know.

Hello,
Just a quick note to say I decided to try orca 3.2.0 from ArchLinux
testing, the upgrade wasn't smooth but that possibly was down to me
having some git packages installed from arch and the conflict not being
given (or something like that). However, once I worked out the conflicts
and such like and ensured the correct packages from testing were
installed things seem to be working. The only thing I have not fully
worked out yet is the GDM login, it appears that the login screen
appears but orca does not start and I cannot get beyond it.
