Re: [orca-list] Improving Freedesktop Accessibility (was Re: Possibly Forking Gnome 2)

Hi Storm,

When you installed XFCE did you have to do anything specific to get orca to work
with it, or did you just start orca normally and it worked out of the box?

I just started Orca normally and it came up talking. That could be
because Gnome accessibility was enabled on my account already and just
works with Gnome, Unity, and Xfce regardless of the desktop I select
from the gdm login screen.

Also, how did you start orca from within XFCE? I don't know any of
the shortcuts yet.

Well, Interesting enough since Orca was enabled on the account to
start by default as soon as I logged in Orca just came up talking. It
doesn't seem to matter if I select Gnome, Xfce, or Unity from GDM,
but Orca just comes up automatically on Ubuntu 11. So if you have
access enabled in Gnome Orca should work with Xfce as well.

HTH
