The problem with flat review in Firefox seems to have something to do with at-spi rather than Firefox itself.
I started seeing this problem on Orca 3.0 using at-spi2. Restarting Orca temporarily solves the problem.
As for Flash objects, I have found them to be very problematic with most screen readers, so I do my best to
avoid Flash wherever possible, and instead promote free and open standards such as HTML5 and JavaScript. I
also refuse to use Flash in any of my own website designs. That being said, too many websites still force
Flash on their users, so Orca should do its best to try to support it. At the moment, any embedded object on
a web page is always spoken as "text," and this has been the case for a very long time. Also, if I get stuck
on one of these objects, I can't tab away from it or even close a single browser window or tab without
finding a way to focus another object such as a link or button first.
