I still have an issue when installing the orca daily build package
built from orca git master. I am primarily using the Vinux 3.0.1
distribution, which is based on Ubuntu 10.0.4 Lucid. Therefore, I
am updating orca from 2.30 to 3.1 pre. Orca does not talk at the
login screen until orca is restarted, the user makes their changes
to the orca preferences, presses Apply, then paste in the following
long single line command: me=$HOME && sudo mkdir -p /var/lib/gdm/.local/share/orca && sudo cp -r ${me}/.local/share/orca/* /var/lib/gdm/.local/share/orca/ && sudo chown --recursive gdm: /var/lib/gdm/.local && echo "gdm migrated." || echo "gdm migration failed." I think this is old news, since I originally saw these commands posted here. Browsing the bug list, I saw no mention of this migration issue. Did I overlook it? Are migration quirks like this and the gconf /gsettings as discussed in Bug 619398 [1] implementations planned for 3.1?
