Hello Jason,

I've tried that and I'm still getting the
"OSS_Audio: Failed to open audio device /dev/dsp"
error from swift. Any more suggestions. As I said in my prior post
this worked fine on older versions of Ubuntu but from 10.04 on none of
the Cepstral voices work at all.

As root:
modprobe snd_pcm_oss
and if that helps, add it to your /etc/modules file.
