HI all,
I am really thankfull to all who helped.
I know this was discussed before on the mailing list and its irritating
to repeat it for some one.
But I never got the time to read all emails.
Can some one give a quick overview on what desktop will be better for
daily usage?
I am currently on ubuntu 10.10 and used to the gnome 2 desktop for last
3 years.
I would like to know which of the 2, Unity or gnome 3 will perform
faster with Orca?
also which one has less critical bugs and more work arounds for getting
things done?
Happy hacking.

Hello, Krishnakant.
As far as GNOME 3/Shell is concerned, it seems that a lot of the
keyboard shortcuts are different or perform different tasks. For
instance, a full GNOME Shell environment does not have the
Applications, Places, and System menus which were present in GNOME
2.x, however it seems that the GNOME Fallback Session has the
Applications and Places menus (unless I am mistaken). Below is a link
[1] for some GNOME Shell keyboard shortcuts. I hope that you find this
helpful.
Take care.

hello all,
I am migrating to unity 2d with Ubuntu 11.10,
Precisely I need the keystrokes for going to the menu, and any other
basic keystrokes that are needed for daily usage.
I wish to use firefox, thunderbird, libre office and eclipse.
Alternatively, I would like to know if there are some special
keystrokes for gnome 3 shell which are different than gnome 2.
Please let me know how I can shift to gnome 3 shell if need be.
happy hacking.
