I didn't see such a bug filed. And what you report are two separate
issues, so I tackled the hang first. Please see:

The actual bug is one in Gecko/Firefox 4, and I'll work on a test case
in which I can demonstrate the broken hierarchy to the Mozilla guys
next. However, this is something that we seem able to work around easily
enough on our end, thus I think it's worth doing.
