Since I joined FSF/GNU, we have been accepting donations targeted for 
accessibility. Large contributions, say $500 or more, can come with more 
specific direction (screen reading, magnification, support for a 
specific application, etc.) and can be discussed in advance. Smaller 
contributions will definitely be spent on our accessibility efforts but 
it would be hard to be specific as to how as building detailed roadmaps 
is sometimes more expensive than the size of the contribution.

Recently, we have been working with a funding agency in Brazil along 
with one other group on matching funds. All involved in this fairly 
substantial donation agreed that it should go to the GNOME Foundation to 
hire people to work on Orca and problems related to it. We are happy to 
participate in projects helping with any expertise we can muster to help 
facilitate contributions to other free software organizations (like GNOME).

We've also been involved in some human rights/education/dignity 
fundraising campaigns and have funded a school for blind adults in 
Nepal. These students will be trained in the ENglish language and 
computing  skills and those who show initiative and aptitude will also 
be taught IT and programming skills. Nepal is a very poor country so 
this project will make a huge impact on the students lucky enough to get 
involved.

As implied above, the GNOME foundation also funds work  on its 
accessibility projects and is a worthwhile recipient of your generosity. 
If you would like to give money to GNOME and want help on a 
specification, requirements, roadmap, etc. feel free to contact me as 
GNU and GNOME are good     friends and we have some very high level 
expertise in this area.
