Hello,
I haven't had issues with logging in using GDM since working out the
problem with orca 2.32.0 (I have filed a bug and patch for that, see
#631544).
Yes, that seems to work. I will update the bug report acordingly. My
only suggestion here would be to use 'git format-patch ...' to create
the patch because then a simple 'git am' will apply and commit the
change for me. With this one, I did 'git apply' but then had to do a
separate 'git commit -a'' to commit. Anyway, just my way of doing git
stuff.
Regarding not being able to tab to anything in the login screen, you
can get to the options like shutdown and language options by using
ctrl+alt+tab.
I never had thought of trying that key combination before. That did
work for me. I'll have to check again but I don't think some of the
other controls identified themselves; I think it was mainly saying,
"Icon" but the shutdown options did identify correctly. I didn't go
into that dialog but I would imagine that to work fine.
As for the thing about orca crashing, I had noticed that previously
but in sorting out this latest issue I didn't encounter the crash
when setting up orca preferences at the log in screen. Steve, may be
you could test that.
Yes, I did and I never lost speech. Wonder what you fixed there:). I
went into Orca and was able to change several default options
including which speech voices to use. It's all pretty cool now.
