I tried orca.__version__ orca.__version__() and just for luck str(orca.__version__) but no joy.
Is there anything else it could be?

yes, this is strange, my oly gues is some weird orca bug.

I think orca__version__ will work, that might not be the right object,
but I think it should be something .__version__
