Re: [orca-list] date and time keybindings

Hi,

I vote for Orca+T for time and Orca+D for Date.

And keep F12 for the Orca/Gecko mode toggle.

That's not an anti-JAWS opinion as I use JAWS as well. In fact when using Windows I frequently press JAWS+T wanting the time and get the title of the current window instead!

Perhaps that's because I use Orca more than JAWS since the opposite never seems to happen (I press Orca+F12 wanting the time and end up switching to gecko mode) but I think it's just because access key + T is far more natural.

And it would save another vote on what to do with the gecko toggle keystroke.

Hi,

Just a quick vote again.

Would people mind if orca+f12 was bound to present time, and orca+f12
double click to present the date?

This would be the default keybinding from other screenreaders, so prefered
for cross screenreader consistancy.

This would currently clash with the firefox binding for "switch between
orca and gecko caret navigation" in Firefox, (Thanks Attila for pointing
this out), would people mind if the switching was done with a diffrent
keybinding, and if so is there a prefered choice?
