Hi everyone, we have been approached by Michiel Leenaars who works for
a Dutch funding body and has connections with the Abiword and
Gnumeric developers, he responded to an e-mail I think I sent to them
regarding lack of accessuibility, and they would like to know what
they need to do to make Abiword and Gnumeric accessible - as far as I
can see the menus and dialogue boxes are accessible in both - it is
just when you type in the edit area or cells that Orca will not read
the contents (although you get key echo) So I am assuming that only
the edit areas (and cells) need making accessible - everything else
seems to work. So I am posting this message so that people can get in
touch with the Abiword/Gnumeric developers (in the CC) to advise on
what needs doing. If Abiword and Gnumeric were accessible they would
make a very light and fast alternative for most users over Open
Office, and would fit on the CD etc.
