I don't have a dtk-generic conf file in operation today.  I haven't
used software dectalk for several years now.  Like John said in his
message, look carefully at the speechdispatcher logs; you might have
to set up to a higher log level to get everything but that may be your
best clue.  My pat experiences were that the conf files were in pretty
good shape to start with and shouldn't require all that much
tweaking.  But Like I said before, keep testing with the spd-say or
otts-say commands to test this stuff out.
