Just to follow up, yes that was the problem for me, I didn't realise I
would need to press enter first.
Now a quick question, is the plan for this to be fixed (so that log in
on the LiveCD isn't needed) before the next stable release? In some ways
to me this isn't really a problem except it would be useful to have a
beep or a sound played when the system is ready to login (like an
installed version of opensolaris 2009.06 beeps when you get to the log
in screen).
I have some other questions but they probably really belong on
opensolaris mailing lists.

Thanks Will, I had been wondering about that with the b130 CD I had
written, I will try it out. I think I was sort of aware of the login
screen appears but I hadn't realised I might need to press enter first
(it hasn't been needed on any of my linux systems using GDM).

Hi Josh:
It is working OK -- when you say you get no speech, is this with the
live CD? If so, there's currently a bug with the login screen on the
live CD -- it comes up when it shouldn't. So, you need to press the
Enter key, type "jack" for the username, press Enter, type "jack" for
the password, and then press Enter to log in. From there, things
should behave normally.

Hi, should orca be working in b130 or 131? I've had no luck getting
speech at all. The only reason I've asked at this point is because
I saw a message a few weeks back saying that the desktop was going
to be frozen in early January.
Cheers, and keep up the good work.
