Subject: [orca-list] Fw: installing
ubuntu with orca talking with Wubi?
Hi Hank,
Yes, I did have Ubuntu with Orca. I used the
Ubuntu 8.04 ISO CD to install to the d: drive while Windows and JAWS were
installed on the c: drive..
With Windows and JAWS running, the CD started
with a Ubuntu setup window. JAWS allowed me to easily select the options. In
the advanced items, choose the screen reader.
A "Ubuntu" folder was created on the d: drive and
the Windows boot.ini file had the Ubuntu menu item added .
Whenever Ubuntu was chosen, Orca came
up. I know it worked and Windows continued to be the default
OS.
I don't know what is Wubi but in the Ubuntu
folder there was a Wubi uninstall. This worked when used.
