Well, that's a wide open question.  Since this list specifically
relates to Orca, a screen reader application for the
Unix/Linux/Solaris platforms, I'll speak to it a bit.

Take your web browser to http://live.gnome.org/Orca and read what you
find there on the wiki page.  That is a capital O just like I
indicated there.  There's a lot of info which describes how to use
Orca with the GNOME desktop environment for Linux and some frequently
asked questions are also posted there.

I'm glad to be able to share with you that the Linux and similar
platforms are indeed accessible to the blind these days.  So many
people involved in teaching and support for blind students completely
neglect Linux as a viable platform - either due to ignorance or a
mythical perception that this can only be done with an expensive
Windows screen reader.
