Re: [orca-list] as some one herd orca echoing lines in evolution?

Also note that while replying to any email this does not happen.
That is to say, right now I am reading my own reply back and forth while
I am typing it but the double reading does not happen.
Also note the way orca responds when a user presses back space to remove
one character or ctrl + backspace for removing one word. orca will
respond by echoing the deleted character or word on the first line but
does not respond with any information on the following lines.

I had justed started to structure my orca documents to put on the wiki
and was double checking with all the keyboard commands and started to
use things in a nitty-griti way, it was then that these errors occured
to me.

Funnily enough, I'd been experiencing this for a while but never had
Orca in debug mode. Last night I'd changed that to try logging another
bug, and this morning while reading email it occurred to me that I could
get a debug log of this behavior as well and file that bug. And the very
next email I read after deciding that was this one. :P

So I made a debug log with me reading the email about this bug
line-by-line and filed:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=582479
How meta. I think Evolution generates both focus and caret move events
when arrowing, and Orca processes them both by reading the destination
of the move, be it a new character, line, whatever.

Hello all,
Strangely enough I just discovered that while reading an email message
in evolution, orca 2.26.1 on ubuntu 9.04 (gnome 2.6) repeats the lines
as if there is an echo or as if the line has been repeated twice on the
same line.

has any one experienced this before?
happy hacking.
