Yeah, that's about my conclusion too. It started out at initial setup
but I couldn't get past the empty panels which were supposed to be
lists I think - account and transaction lists. I seemed to import a
.qif file with reasonable success but couldn't make any use of the
data after being imported. That's too bad too because I was looking
forward to using something like this. I guess I'm religated to using
a spreadsheet to track my checkbook and things. I think Open Office
Calc is up to the task.

Anyone else try this program in the past or present? I wonder if it

some debugging but probably won't be sure what exactly to look for.

I thought I'd give a look to GNU Cash which according to the
documentation is one powerful accounting package. But I can't seem to
navigate anywhere inside any of the accounts. I was able to do the
initial setup but I can't seem to view any sub acounts or
transactions. I even imported a .QIF file for kicks but again, the
transactions were invisible to Orca. Whenever I got into any of the
panels where I had the trouble, pressing the numpad-Enter key would
only say "Panel." I think there was supposed to be a list of items
there but Orca doesn't think so.

Has anyone out there had any experiences, good or bad with GNU Cash?
I'm doing this on a Debian Lenny system with all current updates.
Plus Orca and friends from SVN of 01/30/2009.
