Hello all,
This is a strange problem I've had both in Arch Linux and Gentoo, using
both gnome 2.26 and 2.28 (2.24 as well, I believe) with alsa. Basically
what happens is, say I'm playing an album in Rhythmbox. When one track
ends, both espeak speech and sound from rhythmbox simultaneously stop.
The terminal bell works, however. Pressing alt-f2 and typing orca
restores both. I believe this is an espeak-synthesis-driver segfault,
which tends to happen on my snd_intel_hda-based sound card. Any thoughts
or suggestions on solving the problem or giving any of you more info for
debugging purposes are welcome.
Thanks,
Garrett
