Re: [orca-list] Error while installing trunk version of Orca

Hi,

Do you get the same error if you build the latest branch from svn appropriate to the version of gnome you are running?

Hi,
I got it working. I had to do sudo make install for the /usr/local/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/orca thing to work.. It still installed in the alternate folder, so everything went well. I checked the /usr... folder before doing the install and there was no previous items in the folder.

Hi,

I just updated my local installation of Orca from svn trunk with no
problems (on Ubuntu Intrepid). I would suggest that you rerun the
autogen.sh script again and make sure the --prefix is input correctly.
If the prefix command takes, the installation should have nothing to do
with the /usr/local tree--that path should be created under your local
target directory.

good luck,
