Re: [orca-list] Cepstral on Debian

Hi,

Cepstral produces voices for Linux. Here is a link to the downloads page:

http://cepstral.com/downloads/

When you find the voice you want to download, you'll find links underneath it for a wide variety of Linux/Solaris flavors. I haven't read the entire page, but every voice I've looked at is available for Linux/Solaris. On the same line as the download link, you will find a link to a FAQ which will tell you how to install it.

Good luck,

dave

Hi: I'd asked them last weak and they told me there are no voices for linux, only for Windows and Mac OS.

This woudl be useful to me. i'm not sure how fast the cepstral voice are
with orca though as I've never used them. I would like ot purchase one,
but first try it out before doing so to se how they perform on my
system.

Hi everyone. Was thinking of purchasing the Cepstral voices or use on one
of my Sid machines. For those of you who are new users, would it be
helpful if I create a Debian/Ubuntu package for Cepstral voices as well as
Swift? I know this isn't free software, but just thought it may be
helpful for some of you.
