For those of you who use Cepstral as your synthesizer, here is the link 
to the Cepstral help desk:

If you go to the second level 2 heading, you will be at the form to 
submit a help request.

Even if you haven't experienced the problem in gnome 2.24, I would 
suggest that you file a request stating that you have heard about this 
problem in the next release of the gnome desktop and request that they 
work with the Orca development team to solve it.
