Re: [orca-list] can't start speech-dispatcher



Hi, as far as I have noticed, speech-dispatcher can only work with
pulse in intrepid by default. you can resolve these problems as
follows:
editthe file
/etc/speech-dispatcher/speechd.conf
make pulse default by removing # sign from the appropriate line
regarding audiomethods.
now save the file.
edit the file
/etc/defaults/speech-dispatcher
change the default which is "no" to yes so hat speech-dispatcher
starts automaticaly.
Now restart the system.

Hello,

try spd-conf script. There you can set up an user configuration, that
means .speech-dispatcher directory with another subdirectories will be
created.
