What is the difference between unstable and experimental? I'm new to
Debian and have heard many times of Stable / Testing / Unstable but
just lately have been hearing of Experimental. I'm running Testing
now but seem to understand Debian well enough to move onto one of the
more current versions of packages. Does one go to Experimental by
doing 'apt-get dist-upgrade'?

I'm using Debian Lenny and wanitng to install the latest version of

resaults from the terminal and hopefully someone can tell me what to do.

Why are you installing at-spi from source in the first place?
Debian ships at-spi packages in lenny (1.22.0).
If you need current at-spi you can always fetch the newest
at-spi from debian experimental.
These methods are definitely easier if you can't be bothered maintaining
your own source installations.

Note that there are also more cufdrrent version fo orca (like 2.24.1)
in experimental. After the lenny release, I will go back
to putting unstable release (odd version numbers) into experimental
and stable releases in sid.
