Hi Don:
I'm not sure. In reality, Orca is really only supported with the
version of GNOME that it ships with. So, mixing and matching is
something you need to do at your own risk. I wish I could help you
more, but it's hard enough keeping above water with supported
configurations. :-(

Will,
I guess my question would then be if I were to go back to an older version of the java-accessbridge would it
work with a current version of orca?
I haven't looked to see what versions of the accessbridge are available from the ftp.gnome.org site but
perhaps if I picked oe up from a couple of years ago maybe it would work.

Hi Don:
If the bridge requires 1.5.0 or later, I'm not sure it will work with an
older JDK. :-(

Hello,
I have tested orca and the latest java accessbridge with some of Oracle's products, but I was informed that
when I try to do an oracle database install, I need to stick with the version of the jdk shipped with the
installer which is jdk 1.4.2.
When I tried to compile the java accessbridge, it required that I use jdk 1.5.0 or later.
Is there a way to get the java accessbridge to work with an older jdk?
