I think some of the comparisons that come up here would come from
newbies who really don't know how things may be done in GNOME. The
only thing they can fall back on would be what is currently being done
with their Windows screen reader. Once educated a bit and suitable
methods of accomplishing the task at hand are offered, hopefully that
new-comer can get on his or her way. Example might be the browsing
with IE or Windows Firefox and vertualization and link lists; if the
non vertualization is rationally explained on the list or even on the
wiki pages, and if particular key strokes can be outlined to simulate
the link list, then that same user can now have what they came after
using Orca.

Sometimes however, there may be a really cool feature that exists on a
windows screen reader that just doesn't exist or cannot presently be
done with GNOME / Orca. Nothing wrong with kicking it around the list
here and see if that is something that could be used in this
environment or if an alternate solution or method should be used.

I personally like linux much better than windows but still, I use
windows at work and when I occasionally have to here at home and
There's nothing wrong with looking over there and maybe taking some
aspect or functionality from there and implementing it here when
appropriate. After all, many gnome features are quite similar to
windows such as the top level menus in applications and the general
cut/paste feature. It just makes sense to do so.
