[orca-list] gnome sounds

Hi,
I seem to have lost my system sounds, and I find them useful.
I went into sounds, in Gnome-Ubuntu, and they seem to be enabled.
I have sound, as Orca speaks.
Does anyone know what would cause this?
About all I changed was that I selected a different screen saver, but I 
don'Glennt know if this is when it quit.
