Re: [orca-list] gnome-panel and notification area madness

So far on Ubuntu Intrepid I have noticed a regression in the panel. The
biggest problem I have is that the gnome menu is more miss than hit,
meaning that Orca only rarely speaks it. Also, tabbing through the
applets and launchers on the panel mostly either says icon or nothing at
all, with the exception of the weather applet, the volume control and
the user switcher applet. However, if I use flat review, I seem to be
able to find most of the buttons. The drawers are slightly harder to
navigate than they used to be, but that only seems to be because I can't
tab to them like I used to be able to do. If I click a drawer with the
mouse key it opens and I can navigate the applets in it with only a
minimum amount of trouble which I think is caused by the fact the drawer
I tried to navigate has 3 timer applets in it which only say button if
there is no time on the timer, so the trouble I do have seems to be of
my own making in that regard. As for the notification area, I have the
same problem as usual. Once I find it with flat review, it only says
panel notification area and if I click it I get a menu for a random
application, sometimes networking and sometimes pulseaudio, but I can't
navigate this area and can't pick out the specific buttons in it.

Hope this helps somewhat,
Lorenzo
