Hello all,
Sorry that I'm a bit late with this however you may be interested to know that for the first time that I'm aware of, you can now install OpenSuSE with Speech feedback.
I'll record step by step instructions for this when I get time however the short version is:
Boot the gnome CD.
run Orca when the system starts.
log off when prompted after the settings run through.
log on with the username linux. you won't be prompted for a password.
now go into a gnome-terminal
Promote your permissions by typing sudo su
run orca --no-setup --disable main-window
Return to the desktop with control alt and d.
press home and down once to go to the installer icon.
press enter and Orca will let you know that Yast is running.
Then simply follow the prompts.
The only part that is ucrrently not accessible is the time zone selection.
I'm having some problems understanding the partitioner screen also.
But, the fact remains that although there are a few minor problems, this is by far a huge jump in the accessibility of OpenSuSE 11.
As there are a few on this list who are connected with this iniciative I'd like to stop for a moment to say thanks! Well done!
