Re: [orca-list] ttsynth

Hello Rich,

I am not sure to recompile gnome-spoeech to work with ttsynth. I remembe
reading somewhere if I had rebuilt gnome-speech it would not work with
pulse audio correctly. So if you can please point me to the right direction
on as to how I can go about recompiling gnome-speech to recognize ttsynth, I
would appreciate it.

Thank you,
Alonzo

Have you recompiled gnome-speech? It should recognize that the ttsynth
libraries are installed and when recompiled, include the proper support in
gnome-speech. When you then restart orca, you will have the synth in your
list of gnome-speech drivers.

Hello,
I've installed the lib. Ttsynth had the libaries necessary to install
ttsynth. However, I don't see the synthesizer to choose for orca.

Hi,
This was diskused earlier in this list.
There is the libstdc++ library missing under hardy.
This lib is part of an old gcc (version 2.95).
Try to install this lib.
You can take it from older ubuntu distros!
HTH.
