Hi,
Check and see if Linux knows that it is an executable.
At a command prompt, type:
ls -l mordord
The first four characters of the output from this command
should look something like:
-rwx
(note that there is a dash as the first
character)
If you don't see that `x' (the r and w aren't important for
this), then you need to change the permissions on the file. At the command
prompt, type:
chmod u+x mordord
Then, try running the program as you did before.
Good luck,
dave

Subject: [orca-list] Another
problem!
Hi, thanks Willy. It works. I guess since I'm too
much focussed on getting stuff fixed without Google I sometimes ask nonsense
questions. This one, though I searched on Google and didn't find a solution
to.
I'm trying to run a file that is an executable.
It is called Mordord. I tried to run it like
./mordord -r (the option)
and also
mordord -r
but none work. It actually thinks it's a command.
Can anyone help me with that one?
Thanks.
