Yeah, I've used su and 'su -' for many years but in this case, I was
trying to use 'sudo gdmsetup' from a terminal or from the alt-f2
command. You can add your personal account to the soduers file in
/etc directory. Just look at /etc/soduers on your machine and the
comments start you out on what to do.
