FOr a start, hardy is still under heavy development, and is not yet considered stable for daily use. The 
final release of Hardy is in April. I would suggest you download and make use of Ubuntu Gutsy 7.10, fi you 
want to try out a known working environment for accessibility.

Having said that, I'll take a look into the problem you appear to be having, and see if I can reproduce it.
