[orca-list] How to make it speak??

Hi,
        I'm an Italian blind user and I would like to 
have an accessible computer with linux. I prefer 
to use kde instead of gnome but, anyway, I cannot 
make Orca speak in both the desktops.
I ask you if you could tell me some instructions 
to make it speak. Theese instructions would have 
to be more precise as possible due to my 
blindness.
Thanks a lot to anyone who will pay attention to 
my case.
